[Word Magnate]

Awesome concept.

It is a great concept for a game. Only thing is, you can just re-use words. You can watch two different groups of letters, and just keep buying and selling the same words from them over and over. Example- i can just keep buying and selling mom, mono, nom, over and over watching just one price. You should add different modes, where each letter might have its own price, rather than groups of letters, or have the price for 3 letter words vs 4 letter words change, or be unable to reuse the same words within a certain time limit, etc. This game is a great idea but can totally be expanded to be much better. Maybe add some progressive levels or something too. You could add restrictions to what words can be used like only animals or something for a higher difficulty level.

Other nit picky items that dont matter but people will notice: the $ should come before the number, not after. umm.. i guess thats it.

Thanks for the review and tips, I was thinking of having fever letters in the groups, but went for the easier version. The idea with restrictions and progressive levels is also good. Will put the things on the list for update/sequel.

A working idea

its a start, but it needs a lot of work. You managed to make it work, so you know what you are doing, but the game doesn't look to attractive. Work on the appearance of the menus, add some animations, maybe a feature to change the pitch of each note, and maybe, if you can, add a feature to let people share their creations with each other. Then this game will score much better. You have some work to do but it can be done. Work on the art and people will like it much better. Good luck. :)

cool

very good idea. is pushing the space bar and making the pile dissapear once it is half way up the screen a glitch? cause if you use that it is nearly impossible to lose.

could use some refinement, but it is by no means a bad game. I loved how the music changed for god mode. i also like how you made your own music. good job.

Good idea

I like the idea. the game, however, didnt work so well... but i like the concept. wish i knew how to do that. i gave you a 10 for graphics because it had my picture in it. :) i also gave the flash a 5/5 because it is a great game idea that should be further developed. you could get very creative with this. good luck and give us more.

that was good. could a little work... the sound was too short of a loop. it got annoying. the gameplay was a bit choppy. other than that, good game. i like it.

it's a start

it is not a bad idea, but you might offend someone. the game was a bit buggy. it was hard to turn corners and not get stuck. the sound effects were good, but if you could add a hip hop pac man remix in it would be really awesome. i liked how you could click and change your number of lives, level, and score. i liked how the power dots made you go faster. with some work you could make this a really good game. if you can, try to make it a close up view of the board that scrolls up and down with the action. good luck.
